PURIFICATION - PREPARATION FOR RITUAL

Your altar is ready, your Sacred Space prepared. Now - perhaps the most important step, ready yourself for the Ritual.  One extremely effective way to prepare for your spellwork and shed your mundane life an important step and valuable technique is to take a ritual bath. 

Unless you are planning to perform your ritual skyclad have clean clothing of natural fabric (cotton, silk or linen).  You can wear a Ritual Robe, or just comfortable clothing you set aside for ritual use.  Do keep the clothing you wear for ritual for magickal work only as they will absorb the energies of your work.

RITUAL BATH: 

Draw your bath, adding Ritually charged Bath Salts containing appropriate flowers, herbs and essential oils.  Let the ingredients in the bath salts steep for 5-10 minutes before entering your bath.

Once in the bath, spend some time allowing your mind to quiet and clear of the chatter of daily life. Open your heart and spirit to the Gods.

When you are calm and relaxed focus on your intention; reflect about all the reasons you have not achieved your goal. Fully immerse yourself in the energies blocking you from having what you desire: these may include fear, lack of self confidence; feelings of despair concerning your specific desires. When you have completely explored these negative ideas release them into the water. Then pull the plug and allow your fears to wash away down the drain. You are left cleansed and open, ready to magically work your Intention with your True Will.

Don your ritual garb or remain skyclad.

You are now prepared to begin your ritual.
