The most important tool a witch has comes from within, the power of the mind, the heart and the spirit working with focus and will to effect change in the Universe. However in most creative areas of life people use special and appropriate tools and witchcraft is no different. Just as a Painter, a Sculptor, a Woodworker or a Chef uses the tools of their trade to enhance their craft and create their art, a Witch uses a variety of special tools.
As Witches we choose tools we feel affinity with and through cleansing and dedication and then repeated ritual use our tools become a sacred part of our spiritual practices. Through our touch and our intention energy may be directed through these tools to create sacred space, banish unwanted energies, invoke the Deities, practice Divination, heal ourselves and others and work various forms of magick.
The tools alone however are just objects, beautiful perhaps but not magickal. That power comes from you.
